The board of Food and Fibre Gippsland (F&FG) has accepted the resignation of Ben Gebert, chief executive officer, who has decided to pursue a new opportunity.
Ben’s last working day was last Tuesday, March 25, before he took a well-earned break.
Ben has worked with Food and Fibre Gippsland for more than five years in a variety of roles and arrived via the old Gippsland/Federation TAFE. Prior to his work as CEO, Ben was F&FG general manager and led the work of assorted teams as they delivered projects that support the advancement of the Gippsland food and fibre sector.
“We’re going to miss Ben, with his knowledge, connections, skills, and personality. We wish him every success in the future,” chairman Barry Rogers said.
“The board has considered potential interim CEOs, and I anticipate letting you know who we have appointed in the next few days.
“We will advertise the role very soon, with a view to having an appointment in place within the next three months.
“We’d like to extend our thanks to Ben for his extensive achievements during his tenure with Food and Fibre Gippsland, and sincerely wish him well for his future endeavours.”
