A 46-year-old male driver has had his car impounded after being intercepted by police in Orbost on Sunday, March 30.
Officers intercepted the male driver on Marlo Road Orbost at about 4.20pm.
The male gave an evidentiary reading of 0.128, more than two times the legal limit.
The car was impounded at a cost of $1530, the male’s licence was immediately suspended, and he is expected to be charged on summons.
This impound was a result of continued proactive patrols by local Orbost Police Members.
They encourage anyone who witnesses dangerous driving to contact crime stoppers or attend the police station to make a statement.
Without this information or statements, police are unable to process offenders unless they happen to be in the right place at the right time.
