AFL Gippsland is proud to introduce the Club Health Checks, a vital initiative designed to strengthen the future of local football clubs by assessing their current status and identifying key areas for growth and sustainability.
Delivered through the statewide Club Development Lead network, this program ensures that community clubs receive tailored support to enhance their operations and long-term success.
The Club Health Check is a simple yet effective online survey that provides clubs with a comprehensive snapshot of their strengths and challenges across critical areas such as governance, volunteer support, financial stability, community engagement and facilities.
By proactively assessing these aspects, clubs can develop strategic plans to ensure their ongoing viability and success.
Upon completing the survey, clubs will receive personalised support from AFL Gippsland’s Club Development Lead, including targeted recommendations based on survey results, one-on-one meetings to discuss specific challenges and opportunities, resources and toolkits covering key areas such as volunteer engagement, financial planning and strategic growth.
Workshops and training sessions will be available for club officials and volunteers, as well as guidance on accessing funding opportunities and grant support.
