Unfortunately heavy rain in the Mallacoota catchment caused the cancellation of the Vic Bream Classic event scheduled for Mallacoota last weekend.
With water due to continue to rise over the next 24 to 48 hours, making boat ramps unusable along with a Emergency Services Watch and Act Warning for flooding in the Genoa River being issued, the difficult decision was made to officially
postpone the event late
last week.
Thankfully the event will not be lost to the region, rescheduled to
September 13-14.
The anglers next focus will be round three, to be held at Nelson on June 21-22, before the competition returns to East Gippsland four round four at Marlo on August 16-17.
