The fifth annual East Gippsland Winter Festival kicked off over the Winter Solstice weekend with an incredible lineup of events, big crowds, perfect sunny days and roaring fires.
From icy plunges and winter feasts, to fire shows and medieval pageantry, the opening weekend set the tone for what promises to be the festival’s biggest and most vibrant year yet.
Highlight events of this year’s festival still to come include:
Snowy Steampunk Soiree: Friday, July 18, Orbost – Twilight drinks, steampunk style, on the newly restored Snowy Rail Bridge. Enjoy steaming spiced bevvies, live music, with an unforgettable atmosphere at an incredible location. Celebrate the new life of this grand historic structure in vintage-industrial style.
Deep In The Weeds at Sailors Grave’s Dunetown: Saturday, July 19: Marlo – Sailor’s Grave Brewing’s infamous ‘Deep in the Weeds’ festival is back, taking place at ‘Dunetown’, for the first time – their epic new home base. Expect great music, weird and wonderful beers, delicious food and one hell of a night.
