Orbost Snowy Rovers suffered another debilitating loss during round nine of East Gippsland Football Netball League reserves, seeing them drop to sixth on the table.
The Blues were totally outplayed by Wy Yung as they suffered their fifth straight defeat, a promising campaign now teetering on failure.
Only poor kicking from the Tigers kept the Blues in the match. With 10 more scoring shots in the first half, they were comfortable 20 point leaders at half time, but
they did miss some very kickable goals.
Wy Yung found its radar in the second half, kicking eight goals while Orbost kicked a couple of consolation goals in the final term to make it three for the day as they went down disappointingly by 59 points.
Among the better players for Orbost were Tye Robinson, Jamie Welsh, Lachlan Osborn, Hayden Mitchell, Beau Hanratty and Lachlan Barnes.
Despite the loss, the Blues are still on the same points (16) as the Tigers and
Lindenow, who sit directly above them.
Orbost Snowy Rovers will head to Paynesville this Saturday, where they will not a get a better opportunity
to break their growing
losing sequence.
