There was disappointment for Orbost Snowy Rovers in round 10 of the East Gippsland Junior Football Association, going down to Lakes Entrance in both the under 13 and 15 matches at Lochiel Park last Sunday.
The Seagulls remain unbeaten, but the third-ranked Blues were no easy beats, taking the match right up to the Seagulls with the scores all tied up at three quarter time.
But it was Lakes Entrance who finished best, kicking four goals to one in an inspired last quarter, the Blues having no answer for their run and carry.
Hunter Greaves, (two goals) Jasper Anderson, Noah Hanratty, Jack Joiner and Jemma Martin were among the best players for Orbost.
In the under 15 match the Seagulls kicked four goals in the opening term on the way to a comprehensive 50-point win.
Daniel Martin kicked two goals for the Blues, named in the best players beside Jarrah Morrison, Lachlan Robinson and Jimmy Hardy.
The Blues will venture to Paynesville this Sunday for under 13 and 11 fixtures, with the under 15 side having a bye.
