As part of the East Gippsland Winter Festival, the Orbost Arts Centre is set to launch From Little Things Big Things Grow and Live and Local Sundays, a monthly celebration of local talent and creativity.
Kicking off on Sunday, July 13, from 3pm to 6pm, the first session features live music from local favourites Snowy River Jammers, supported by the rocked-up country sounds of Clay McCurly.
In a playful nod to the centre’s current Welcome to Alice in Wonderland exhibition, this launch event will take on a Mad Hatter’s theme.
Guests are encouraged to don their maddest headwear, with door prizes for the craziest hat and the best dancer of the day.
Entry is by gold coin donation, with a bar and nibbles available to keep the winter chill at bay.
The Sunday sessions will
run monthly on the third Sunday of each month, showcasing musicians from across East Gippsland.
Poets, storytellers, comedians, dancers and magicians are all welcome to join in and share their talents with
the community.
All are welcome.
