Rain, rain go away

Marlo Road reopened in both directions last Saturday between Orbost and Marlo following minor flooding in the area.

The Snowy River peaked on Friday, July 4, at around 5.7 metres.

As of Sunday, July 6, minor

flooding has eased at Basin Creek and Jarrahmond.

Flooding has eased and river and creek levels continue to fall across the catchment.

Showers are forecast over the next few days, however significant widespread totals are

not expected.

Minor flooding also has eased along the Snowy River downstream of McKillops Bridge.

The Snowy River at Basin Creek is currently at 3.44 metres

and steady, below the minor

flood level.

The Snowy River at Basin Creek is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.50 metres).

The Snowy River at Jarrahmond is currently at 3.48 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.

The Snowy River at Jarrahmond is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.10 metres).
