A 40-year-old male driver has had his car impounded after reports to police of driving while suspended on Sunday, June 22.
The male driver was observed driving on Nicholson Street Orbost at approximately 1.43pm and after a subsequent investigation, the car was impounded at a cost of $1550 and the male driver is expected to be charged on summons.
This impound was a direct result of continued proactive patrols by local Orbost Police Members and community support.
Police encourage anyone who witnesses any driving offences to contact Crime Stoppers or attend the Orbost Police Station to make a statement.
Without this information or statements, police are unable to process offenders unless they happen to be in the right place at the right time.
