Community Bank Mallacoota has announced its latest contribution to local health and safety – funding a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the Cann River Bakery and covering the cost of replacement pads and batteries for 10 existing AEDs across Mallacoota and surrounding areas.

This initiative is being implemented in partnership with Ambulance Victoria’s Mallacoota branch, whose frontline personnel will oversee the upgrades and installations as part of their ongoing commitment to community health.

Out of hospital sudden cardiac arrest claims the lives of approximately 70 Australians each day.

Survival rates significantly increase when AEDs are used promptly by bystanders.

Accessible, well-maintained AEDs can mean the difference between life and death.

“Sponsoring AEDs is one of the most valuable investments we can make in our community,” Community Bank Mallacoota chair, Andrew Roberts said.

“While we hope they are never needed, having them available is an

essential safeguard.”
