A messy pantry can be an eyesore, makes ingredients hard to find and generally complicates the cooking process.
Luckily, it’s easy to organise, here’s how to do it:
1. Organise certain goods such as cans or baking ingredients using baskets. Label each basket to make ingredients even easier to find.
2. Utilise wall space by using wall mounted shelves or baskets.
3. Make pantry organisation easier by grouping items you normally use together. This will make it easier to track how much you’ve used and when you’ll need a replacement.
4. Decant larger items into smaller boxes or jars to save space.
5. Label pantry jars to avoid a guessing game in your pantry.
6. If your pantry is tall but not deep, increase its storage potential with portable inner shelves.
7. Use baskets for bulky items such as bags of potatoes or onions. You can also use these baskets to store other kitchen items such as cling film and aluminium foil as well as cleaning products.
