The Orbost Snowy Rovers juniors will return to the playing field after a bye this Sunday, hosting Lucknow in the final round of the East Gippsland Junior Football Association.
The action will kick off at 10.30 am at Lochiel Park with the under 11s, followed by the elimination final preview in the under 13s at 11.30am.
The Blues are currently in third place on the ladder and the Magpies fourth, both on the same points, and regardless of the result, they will play each other at the Bairnsdale City Oval next Sunday in a cut throat final.
This week will be an opportunity for the sides to do their home work on each other, while any significant advantage gained in victory could be pivotal for confidence and morale going into the finals series.
The final match of the day will be the under 15s at 1pm, where the Blues, last year’s premiers, are still chasing their initial victory for 2025.
They will be keen to end the season a high note and would enjoy nothing more than to dent the confidence of Lucknow as they prepare for a finals tilt.
