Sale’s Gippsland Grammar School has a new rowing coach with Brendan Scott joining the team.
Scott joins the school’s highly successful program from St Kevin’s in Melbourne after a stint at St Patrick’s College, Ballarat.
He brings a wealth of experience in schoolboy and performance rowing, achieving high placing results across all his previous roles.
Scott is dedicated to the school’s mantra and commitment to develop well-rounded individuals who not only showcase
athletic prowess, but also develop the skills and characteristics required to be successful in life.
As the lead boys coach, he will also oversee professional development for the school’s “gap coaches” in the rigging and boat setup areas.
Gippsland Grammar was the first school east of Melbourne to establish a rowing program in the 1960s and has a proud tradition of nurturing talent.
Paige Barr is among several rowers who began their journey at the school and have continued to excel at state, national and international levels, currently representing Australia on the world stage at Olympic and World Championship level.
