Thanks to the Gippsland Community Foundation, and the support of both new and past committee members, Wood Inc is once again open and buzzing with activity.
Wood Inc is now delivering weekly woodworking classes, with five students per class over five weeks.
These classes are designed to build confidence and skills in a fun, supportive environment.
Every Thursday, the shed comes alive with creativity as students dive into woodturning.
The second class is now underway, and it’s amazing to see returning students honing their skills and producing some very impressive work.
The class was fortunate to receive funding from the Gippsland Community Foundation, which helped to reboot and retool the shed.
After three months of working bees, the dedicated members upgraded equipment and purchased
much-needed woodturning tools and basic furniture-
making gear.
Thanks to everyone’s hard work, Wood Inc has been reinstated as a vibrant community facility, where members can share their skills and
teach others.
