The Mallacoota Gun Club commenced its 2025/26 season last Sunday with a competitive shoot that attracted 19 competitors.
Shooters were greeted with a fantastic sunny 21 degrees and light north east winds.
The 100 target simulated field event was shoot over five stands seeing a good variation of targets with varying speeds, distances and angles.
It was the clubs first attempt at setting the course from a different perspective and was received with only positive remarks.
The high gun was taken out by Ian Macfarlane (74/100), with “A” grade going to Allan West (71/100) and “B” grade to Paul Clark (54/100)
The club’s next event will be the two-day club championship held on the October 4-5, with all welcome.
