The Orbost Arts Centre is set to host another lively afternoon of local music, with its popular Sunday Music Sessions returning on Sunday, October 19.
This month’s event will showcase the soulful sounds of singer-songwriter Sofia Violeta Luna Winter and the classic tunes of beloved local guitarist, Winstontaneous.
Hailing from Lakes Entrance and now a local to Orbost, Sofia Violeta Luna Winter will bring her unique voice and soulful presence to the stage.
Attendees can expect an eclectic repertoire of covers spanning the decades, as well as her own raw and emotional original songs, which she describes as a heartfelt reflection of her life’s journey.
Also performing is Winstontaneous, better known around town as Winston.
A resident of Orbost for more than 10 years, the well-loved guitarist is known for his rich collection of Beatles covers and other classic tunes, promising “songs you know and songs you don’t know — for troubled times, a timely tonic.”
Winston is a familiar face in the East Gippsland music scene, having been a regular at Goongerah music gatherings and open mic nights in Marlo, Bruthen and Orbost.
He has also performed alongside legendary artists like Archie Roach at the Rhythm and Life Festival.
The community is invited to come along, bring friends, and enjoy an afternoon celebrating the region’s vibrant musical talent.
With a mix of heartfelt originals, classic favourites, and plenty of good vibes, it promises to be a perfect Sunday outing.
