The Remedies East Coast, a spirited local band formed in response to the 2020 bushfires, is proud to announce the release of their debut album, Trip Around the Sun.
The album, recorded at Snowy River Recording Studios in Marlo and supported by Bruthen Music Recording Studios, is now available on all popular streaming platforms.
To celebrate this milestone, the band will perform a special live concert at the Marlo Hotel deck this weekend, featuring the full album along with a selection of popular covers.
The event kicks off on Sunday, November 2, after lunch at 3pm, with a semi-acoustic set curated by talented singer and songwriter Nora Puglisi, followed by an energetic full-band performance after dinner, promising to entertain and bring
the community together amid the long weekend.
Formed during the Black Summer Bushfires, The Remedies East Coast saw music as a way to unite
and uplift the community.
Since then, they’ve played at various venues from Lakes Entrance to Mallacoota, sharing their heartfelt stories and love for East Gippsland through song.
Fronted by 19-year-old Nora Puglisi, the band features talented members including Clyde Francis, Josh Puglisi and Royce Andrews
Nora’s songwriting and musical talent shine through, offering a fresh voice that resonates with listeners of all ages with songs like When We Were New and Not The Girl for You.
Clyde Francis has written songs including potential hits like Learn The Hard Way and What Makes You Happy.
The album includes tracks like Beauty Is, a poignant reflection on social media culture, and For Goodness Sake, celebrating the beauty and resilience of East Gippsland.
The band extends heartfelt thanks to all who have supported their journey – local venues, recording studios, and fellow musicians.
Special acknowledgment goes to past drummers Marc, Clay, and Nick, and a warm welcome to Liz, who will make her debut performance this weekend.
As well as guest artists on the album Lisa Broome (violin) and Robbie Beel (percussion).
