The Far East Gippsland Eight Ball Association held its grand final last Tuesday night, with a close game played.
The Misfits were 14-9 up over the Duds, who crawled back to make it 18-18.
With a three way playoff to decide the finale winner, the Duds prevailing eventually 20-18.
Awards were presented on the night to Dwayne Free (most consistent), Noel Fothergill (singles champion), Chris Davis (singles runner-up), Chris and Nick Davis (doubles champions) and Noel Fothergill and Noony McNamara (doubles runners-up).
The Annual General Meeting was held last Thursday night, with Joe Connelly elected president, Aaron Smith vice president and Pauline Connelly secretary/treasurer.
Pauline was also unanimously selected for Life Membership for all the work done for the club especially behind the scenes, joining Ian Edebohls and Joe Connelly.
A vote was also taken in regard, team selection with most players voting for a committee to select teams based on statistics from previous seasons.
Names for next season need to be given to Joe or Pauline Connelly by Friday, October 31, so teams can be sorted for a Tuesday, November 11 start.
The association would also like to encourage any person considering playing to also make contact.
