The Bruthen/Orbost under 16s got a start on Saturday morning at Meerlieu but were unfortunately washed out mid morning as the rain set in for the remainder of the day.
The Tussocks posted 7/109 from their 23-over allotment with Lucas Shanahan impressing with the ball taking four wickets in a sensational performance.
The Blues had reached 1/7 off four overs when the heavens finally opened after threatening to do so for hours.
Players will be hoping to get back on the field this week in the thick of the action, but the forecast does look questionable again.
In “B” grade, the Blues will be hoping to continue their improved form when
taking on Paynesville at AJ Freeman Reserve.
In the under 16s Bruthen/Orbost will host St Mary’s Nagle at the Bruthen Recreation Reserve.
The Blues under 13s play Wy Yung this Friday night at Cameron White Oval.
