The club members recently enjoyed a visit to Raymond island to look for fungi and wild flowers.
One member took her dogs to the lake for members to practice action as well as some intentional camera movement while the dogs had a wonderful time chasing sticks in the water.
Members were invited to a shearing shed to photograph the shearing of sixty sheep.
The old shed and surrounds were very interesting as were the young lambs.
One member had a go at tossing the wool on the sorting table and did a great job.
A lovely spread of sandwiches and drinks were unexpected and appreciated.
The club is having three nights at Cape Conran/Marlo next weekend, serving as a great getaway and opportunity to get to know each other better and learn more techniques.
They also zoom all their meetings as they
have members in Marlo, Swifts Creek and Queensland.
The society would like to offer people in outlying areas to take the opportunity to join the club and try zoom as they wouldn’t expect them to travel great distances especially at night but maybe join in for weekend events.
The society has field trips, competitions, hands-on workshops and guest speakers
and meet the fourth Wednesday of the
month except December when it is the
second Wednesday.
