Bairnsdale residents are invited to unleash their inner “Dancing Queen” as the ultimate interactive tribute show, Sing-A-Long ABBA, arrives at the Forge Theatre on Friday, December 12.
Promising a night where the audience is just as much a part of the show as the performers, this production features a
live five-piece band backing the crowd as they belt out the Swedish supergroup’s greatest hits.
To ensure everyone hits the right notes, all the lyrics will be projected onto a
big screen.
The show is being billed as the only ABBA tribute where the action takes place off-stage in the audience as much as it does on-stage.
“Most theatre shows make you stay in your seats, this show gets you up on
your feet,” said Josef Kiss of Australian BOS Music.
The setlist includes over 25 hit songs, ranging from high-energy tracks like Mamma Mia, Waterloo, Ring, Ring, and S.O.S., to ballads like Fernando, Honey, Honey, and The Winner Takes It All.
Adding a touch of European authenticity to the East Gippsland stage, the costumes worn by the cast have been sourced directly from the Official ABBA Museum in Stockholm, Sweden.
Organisers promise a party atmosphere from the moment the doors open, with every audience member receiving a free glow stick on entry.
The show’s motto is simple: “Walk in, Dance out.”
