A new local bakery has made a staggering debut on the Bairnsdale food scene, selling out of its signature treats in less than an hour on opening day.
Stuffd Bakehouse, located at 32 Service Street, officially opened its doors on Saturday, November 15.
The anticipation was evidently
high, as the shop sold a massive 1000 cookies within just 45 minutes of opening.
The business is a true local family affair owned by Steph and Todd, with support from their two children, Alessi and Sayli.
While the storefront is new, the family’s culinary journey began under the name Platter and Crumbs.
Steph and Todd originally started by creating grazing platters before transitioning to baking cookies from their home kitchen.
When a commercial opportunity recently opened up, the family decided to take the leap and launch a dedicated physical store.
The launch event was a community effort, with several other local businesses providing prizes for customers to win.
Following the whirlwind success of their first day, the family looks forward to welcoming more customers to their Service Street location.
