Outstanding monthly shoot

The Mallacoota Gun Club held its January 2026 monthly shoot today last Saturday with 34 shooters.

The event attracted an outstanding turnout of local, interstate and touring visitors for the 100 target event.

The weather was kind but windy, testing both the target setters and shooters.

The High Gun winner was Allen West with a score of 82/100.

Other winners were Ryan Mumford (“A” grade), Simon Buckley (“B” grade), Anthony Troop (“C” grade) and Jasper Corstein (juniors).

The club’s next event will be on the Saturday, February 7, a 100 target FGA simulated field contest.

The “C” grade winner was Anthony Troop (61/100) successful from Jason Yorke (59/100) and Aaron Lee (56/100). (PS)

In “B” grade, victorious was Simon Buckley (70/100), winning a close contest from Nigel Townley (69/100) and Rusty Capel (67/100). (PS)

The winner in “A” grade was Ryan Mumford (78/100), narrowly taking the event from Ian McFarlane (77/100) and Craig Macalpine (77/100). (PS)
