Local band IO will be among those performing at this Saturday's Live on the Lawn event at the Orbost Club Hotel. The event, hosted by the club and Olivia Lay, will kick off at 3pm.

This Saturday will see another music festival at the Orbost Club Hotel, and this time it will feature an entirely local line-up.

The event, Live on the Lawn, is hosted by the hotel and Olivia Lay and will kick off at 3pm with a truck stage, pub meals and drinks, food vans and more.

Early bird tickets are now available at a bargain price at trybooking.

THE LINE-UP

– Olivia Lay

Olivia is an emerging artist known for her compelling guitar playing and songwriting, inspired by artists such as John Butler, John Mayer and Newton Faulkner. Some of her career highlights include supporting Ruby Fields, Baker Boy, Nathan Cavaleri and Thirsty Merc, as well as playing at NYE on the Hill, Queenscliff Music Festival and Bruthen Blues Festivals. She also won the Regional Battle of the Bands in 2019.

– IO

Known for their uplifting sound, local band IO brings a powerful message of unity and positivity. With a shared vision to inspire change and bring people together, IO’s music is a mix of genres, aiming to make the world a better place.

– Mike Elrington

Born in Adelaide, Mike Elrington has established himself as a guitar powerhouse and brutally honest songwriter. Since the start of his career in 1998, Mike has developed a reputation for being one of Australia’s most exciting live independent blues/roots artists in the country. He is regularly invited to perform at festivals including Bluesfest Byron Bay, Blues On Broadbeach and the Bendigo Blues and Roots Festival.

– Todd Cook and The Rufous Whistlers

Todd’s emotive lyrics, earthy tones and raw appeal connect to a wide variety of listeners, with his songs floating from intricate folk fingerpicking styles to driving rhythms that stir the soul. With performances at the Bruthen Blues and Arts Festival, Black Cockatoo’s rural show and a number of community events in East Gippsland, Todd Cook and The Rufous Whistlers are proving they are in demand.

– Sean McGuinness

No stranger to the local music scene, Sean is known for his distinctive ‘clawhammer’ guitar style, specialising in alternative folk/country genres.

There will also be entertainment from DJ’s Jock and Beau.

Tickets are available at Trybooking.
