The Orbost Education Centre is on the hunt for a centre manager to work with the new committee of management to continue to inspire lifelong learning for the local community.
The Orbost Education Centre Learn Local organisation has been serving the community since 1976.
New chairperson Helen Sheil said the centre
provides training and support for adults to improve
their skills or broaden their career options.
“Our training programs make a difference to people’s lives and represents the diverse interests of our community and local businesses,” she said.
“We now have a new committee made up of local community members including Jenni Bartlett, Lisette Holmes, Rhonda Smith, Tiwana Merritt and Kayla Enzinger.
“Brenda Clay and Shayne Hyman have been fantastic to continue the organisation during its transition period while a new manager is employed and to welcome the new committee.
“We would like to thank them both for their valued contribution to the
ongoing success of the Education Centre.”
The Education Centre is driven by the needs of learners and the community, which is why it
needs people from the community to ensure
it is providing training that is needed in a way that works for learners and employers alike.
If anyone is interested in joining the committee of management or becoming a tutor please contact them via email.
