A small group of Orbost locals that love where they live have successfully provided a couple of projects for the Orbost community in 2025.
An access track to the Snowy River is currently being used by locals and tourists as they can now easily get to the river safely, all thanks to funding from the Gippsland Foundation and the enthusiasm of the group to drive this project.
The noticeboard near the pedestrian crossing has been rejuvenated with a new roof and the addition of a book nook with the help of the Orbost Men’s Shed and funding from the East Gippsland Shire.
The group look forward to more projects that are driven by locals this year and welcome input and ideas.
