Orbost has made it through to the Bairnsdale Cricket Association 20/20 grand final, to be played final at the Bairnsdale City Oval next Tuesday from 5.30pm.
The Blues will play West Bairnsdale, with both sides making their way to the grand final through the semi-finals that were played on January 20.
Orbost defeating Wy Yung at the Orbost Recreation Reserve and West Bairnsdale knocking off Paynesville at City Oval.
All four sides finished on two wins in the preliminary matches, as did fifth side Meerlieu, who missed the finals on percentage.
Wy Yung won the toss in the semi-final, batting first they amassed 8/133 from their 20 over allotment, with Cameron McPhan top scoring with 38 from 21 balls at the top of the innings, which include three boundaries and three maximums.
After Ben Saxon’s (15) dismal at 4/64, they lost their way for a while, but skipper Charlie Thompson (16), Brendan Dunstan (21) and Jacob Zumach (18 not out) gave their bowlers a total to defend with some impressive tail ending batting.
Jordan Ross and Joshua Court where the multiple wicket takers for the Blues, with two each.
A confident Orbost knocked the total off in the 17th over for the loss of five wickets.
Max Welsh (20), Mikael Hulme (16), Tim Osborn (20) and top scorer Luke Humphries (45) all going better than a run a ball in the run chase.
Alex Hulme was there at the finish on 18 not out.
