East Gippsland Shire Council senior staff and councillors were in Orbost last
Friday morning for one of their regular Orbost and district stakeholder meetings.
The meetings are an opportunity for councillors and senior staff to hear from and work with representatives of various groups and organisations.
It was a very engaging and respectful discussion about local opportunities, the Future of Orbost and District project, timber industry transition, camping along the Snowy River and Council services.
Chief executive officer Fiona Weigall also led a discussion about the development of Council’s 2026/27 budget and how the community can
get involved and provide
feedback about what’s important to the Orbost and
district community.
