Local music lovers are in for a treat this Sunday, March 15, with the Sunday Sessions set to bring an afternoon of live, local music to the Orbost Arts Centre.
Doors open at 2.30pm, with performances running from 3pm to 6pm.
The event will feature solo artist Keith Hall and the dynamic regional trio Walking Wounded, promising a diverse lineup for music fans of all ages.
Keith Hall, a drummer and guitarist since his teenage years, reignited his passion for music during the pandemic lockdowns. Known for his engaging, folky acoustic style, Keith has performed at several open mic events and is excited to share his heartfelt songs with a wider audience.
“I just love playing, so why not share and see what happens,” he said.
Joining him on stage is Walking Wounded, a versatile trio of East Gippsland musicians formed in 2023. The band features Steve Holgate on bass, Chris Notsis on guitar and other stringed instruments, and Mark Glenister on drums, with vocal duties shared evenly among the three. Their set blends original compositions with classic rock and blues covers, delivering a mix of instrumental tracks and vocal-driven anthems guaranteed to get the crowd moving.
The Sunday Sessions are proudly supported by Creative Victoria through the State Government’s 10,000 Gigs: The Victorian Gig Fund initiative, helping to bring live music and local talent to regional communities.
Music lovers are encouraged to bring friends, enjoy the performances, and show their support for East Gippsland’s vibrant music scene.
