Sailors Grave Brewery’s Dunetown is set to host an evening of live storytelling with the return of FROTH this Saturday, a curated night celebrating true, personal tales.
The event, titled Ferals & Flâneurs, invites locals and visitors to share stories inspired by the theme “Fair is Foul and Foul is Fair.”
Participants are encouraged to submit their own six-minute stories, with a clear beginning, middle, and end, and stakes in the outcome, while audiences sit back to enjoy the narratives alongside a refreshing selection of Sailors Grave beers.
Organisers Chris and Gab Moore, credited with inspiring many of the stories, emphasise that all tales must be genuine and personally experienced.
“You can’t tell someone else’s story if you weren’t involved,” they said.
“It’s about creating connection through real experiences.”
Storytellers are encouraged to use props or aids to enhance their performance, but material must remain respectful, avoiding racism, misogyny, homophobia, or hate speech. While humour is welcome, the event focuses on storytelling rather than stand-up comedy.
FROTH offers a space for both participation and appreciation. Those who wish to share a story can submit their name for a chance to take the stage, while audience members can simply enjoy the performance, the camaraderie, and the brewery’s froth.
The night promises an immersive, entertaining, and community-driven experience for all who attend, celebrating the art of storytelling in Far East Gippsland.
