Orbost Girl Guides have marked a major milestone, celebrating “100 Years of Thinking Day,” an international event observed by Girl Guides around the world.
The local group travelled to Burnet Park, near Traralgon, where they joined more than 100 girls and leaders from across East Gippsland for a day focused on activities, learning and building friendships.
The event provided an opportunity for participants to connect with fellow Guides, take part in a range of organised activities and reflect on the global significance of Thinking Day, which has been celebrated for a century.
Leaders said the day was both enjoyable and meaningful for the Orbost group, highlighting the sense of community and shared values that underpin the Guiding movement.
The Orbost Girl Guides extended their thanks to the Orbost CWA and the Orbost Rotary Club for their generous support, which helped fund the girls’ participation in the event.
