The 2026 Annual Orbost Poker Run has once again proven to be a highlight of the local events calendar, with organisers announcing this week that the popular fundraiser raised an impressive $38,000.
Since the event began, the Poker Run has now raised a total of $464,260, a testament to the generosity and community spirit of East Gippsland residents.
The Poker Run, which attracts riders and participants from across the region, combines a scenic motorbike and car tour with a poker-themed competition, providing both entertainment and a meaningful way to support local causes.
This year’s event saw hundreds of participants take to the roads surrounding Orbost, enjoying the camaraderie and the beautiful Gippsland countryside along the route.
Organisers were quick to acknowledge the efforts of everyone involved and made thanks to the local police, whose assistance with traffic control ensured the event ran smoothly and safely, allowing participants to focus on enjoying the ride and supporting the fundraising efforts.
With the success of this year’s event already celebrated, organisers are looking ahead to 2027. The next Annual Orbost Poker Run has been scheduled for February 27, and riders are encouraged to mark their calendars early.
