Orbost Raiders were represented by two teams at the Junior Country Championships in Shepparton last weekend.
Both the under 16 and under 18 girls teams competed against some of the best sides from country Victoria in a high-standard tournament.
The under 16 team started strongly with an impressive 26-point win over Lakes Entrance, with Gemma Geer scoring 16 points and Leila Barnes adding 13. The competition became tougher as the tournament progressed, with the Raiders going down to Mansfield, Wangaratta and Leongatha.
Under 16 team members were Kitty Millward, Isabella Barnes, Leila Barnes, Gemma Geer, Audrey Marshall, Billie Young and Jemima Seal.
The under 18 side faced strong opposition, recording losses to Melton, Portland, Sale and Shepparton, with the final match decided by just one point.
Under 18 team members were Lara Seal, Leila Barnes, Kira-Lee Burn, Gemma Geer, Leni Millward, Ava Martin, Jemima Seal, Mia Martin, Libby Smith and Lily Gardam.
