Local waterways continue to provide excellent fishing, leaving plenty of anglers with smiles on their faces.
Marlo: Flathead, whiting and bream are active throughout the system, taking fresh prawn and sandworm. Salmon are also being caught off the beaches, along with the occasional mulloway.
Bemm River: Bream and perch are present in good numbers, while flathead are chasing soft plastics.
Mallacoota: Sandy Point, Gypsy Point and Fisherman’s Pier are all producing fish. Soft plastics, minnows, fresh prawn and surface lures are proving effective. For beach fishing, Tip Beach is worth a try, while offshore anglers searching for gummies should look to the area between the Two Islands.
