Gippsland farmers are invited to a two-day workshop in Sale aimed at helping family farm businesses prepare for the future.
Hosted by Agriculture Victoria on Wednesday and Thursday, March 25 and 26, the workshop will be led by agri-strategist and educator Dr Kate Burke, who brings extensive experience in technical, commercial, and people-focused aspects of farming.
Participants will explore strategies to manage climate risk, build resilience, and develop stronger, more adaptable farm businesses. Topics covered will include climate variability, productivity optimisation, farm financial performance, and leadership and succession planning.
Attendees will also have the chance to prioritise goals, balance growth and risk, and work on their business plans. One-on-one sessions with Dr Burke will be available after the workshop to review individual plans.
The workshop runs from 9am to 3pm at the Sale Greyhound Club, Sale Showgrounds, Maffra-Sale Road. Numbers are limited and registration is essential via TryBooking.
