The Clifton Creek Sunflower Day will be held on Sunday, March 29, from 10am to 2pm, offering visitors the
opportunity to enjoy the region’s sunflower fields in full bloom.
Guests will be able to pick their own flowers, with organisers encouraging attendees to bring secateurs and a bucket.
The event has become a popular fixture on the local calendar, attracting strong interest from both the immediate community and surrounding districts in previous years. From modest beginnings, it has grown significantly
and now draws in excess of 400 people in a single day.
Organisers say the sunflower fields also provide significant photographic opportunities,
with many visitors capturing images of the vibrant displays.
A sausage sizzle and drinks will be available on the day, however attendees
are advised to bring cash as eftpos facilities will not be available.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the Clifton Creek Hall, Clifton Creek
Landcare, and the ongoing costs associated with growing the sunflowers.
