East Gippsland residents are being invited to don their finest attire and raise a teacup for a cause, with the return of the popular Tickled Pink High Tea next month.
Following a sellout event last year, the fundraiser — organised by the Breast Care Support Fund of East Gippsland — will bring the community together to raise awareness and vital funds for local families impacted by breast cancer.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 2, at Rivendell Farm Estate in Tambo Upper. Guests can explore the estate’s mosaic gardens and scenic surrounds from 11.30am before sitting down to a high tea service from 12.30pm, featuring sweet and savoury selections prepared by Albert & Co. A fully stocked bar will also be available, along with raffles and door prizes.
Breast Care Support Fund president Rachel Wagstaff said the high tea was about more than a social gathering.
“You may very well know someone who has benefitted from our support,” she said.
“We’re a group of everyday East Gippsland women from all walks of life, volunteering our time to raise funds and deliver simple but meaningful gifts of kindness to local families facing breast cancer.”
All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting patients in East Gippsland, providing practical assistance such as fuel vouchers, groceries, wigs, mastectomy bras, meal vouchers and other everyday essentials. Funds are distributed locally through the Breast Care Nurse at Bairnsdale Regional Health Service, ensuring support reaches those who need it most.
Tickets are limited, with organisers encouraging early bookings for what promises to be a stylish and meaningful lead-in to Mother’s Day.
