Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 will see the mixed pairs being played with play commencing at 12.45pm on Saturday.
Entry forms for both events are on the outside noticeboard at the club.
SOCIAL BOWLS
There was a smaller group of bowlers in attendance last Thursday for social bowls with several regulars being away.
However, those present still enjoyed the afternoon having to try and play in a flukey breezy, which was strong enough at times to affect the bowls and was particularly testing as far as accuracy was concerned.
Two games of 10 ends were played with the winners being Bruce Kneebone and Ralph Harding.
Attendance was also low on Sunday afternoon, due primarily to the cold and very windy weather, even though there was an extra player in Brad Lancaster.
Although it was originally decided to play two games of 10 ends, once the bowlers were out on the green, it didn’t take very long for a general consensus that the two games be reduced to eight ends each.
The only team to win both of their games was Lancaster (skip) and Dennis McCann.
Due to the knockout rounds of Club Championship handicapped singles being played this Thursday, the next Social Bowls will be on Sunday.
For Social Bowls, please be at the club no later than 12.30pm.
