Young adults aged 18 to 30 are being encouraged to apply for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), a week-long personal development program designed to build leadership skills, confidence and community connection.
Held from July 6 to 11 at the Phillip Island Adventure Resort, RYLA brings together participants from across the region for an intensive program featuring workshops, team challenges, outdoor activities and guest speakers.
The program aims to help young people discover their potential, develop practical skills and strengthen their ability to contribute to their workplaces and communities.
Participants will take part in sessions focused on communication, teamwork, self-awareness and personal growth, while also building networks with other young leaders in a supportive and inclusive environment.
RYLA also encourages participants to reflect on their strengths and explore how they can use their skills to make a meaningful impact in their communities, with a focus on service and leadership.
A key feature of the program is its emphasis on connection to Rotary, with participants gaining insight into community projects and service initiatives supported by local clubs.
The cost of attending is covered by sponsoring Rotary clubs, making the opportunity accessible to successful applicants.
Those interested in applying or seeking further information are encouraged to contact the Rotary Club of Mitchell River.
