Marlo again produced the goods on the weekend, with some amazing fishing for a large majority of the field with some truly huge fish hitting the scales in round two of the Megabass East Gippsland Bream Classic.
With the rain approaching it was uncertain what that would do to the fishing on Sunday for the 46 teams that hit the water.
But Harry and Brad Young stuck to their plan of fishing an area almost impossible to get to and it paid dividends, with the boys weighing in a 10-bream total of 10.855 kilograms and taking the victory.
They finished ahead of Dan Mackrell and Declan Betts (10.050kg) and the third placed was Paul Malov and Alex Franchuk (9.440kg).
The bag of the weekend was taken out by Shaun Clancy and Jarrod Healey (5.905kgs), which helped them charge 17 positions up the leader board to finish in fourth overall.
The biggest fish of the event was landed by Lex Forbes and Dean Morely (1.810kgs), a massive catch.
East Gippsland youngster, Riley Whelan won the junior angler prize after finishing in ninth place.
The Monster Movers Prize went to Chris and Jack Allwood who weighed in a quality bag on day two of 5.185kg moving them 20 places up the leader board to finish in 22nd position.
Organisers delighted to have run another successful and amazing event in East Gippsland, where the fishing never disappoints.
