Orbost Snowy Rovers returned empty-handed from Lindenow in round five of the East Gippsland Junior Football Association last Sunday.
The under 13s took the match right up to the home side in the opening term, but as the contest wore on, the Cats’ bigger bodies and deeper bench became a major factor.
Lindenow kicked six goals to two across the final three quarters to secure a five-goal victory.
The Blues currently sit seventh on the ladder and are still searching for their first win of the season.
In the under 15 match, the competition’s fourth and fifth-ranked sides went head-to-head, with the Cats prevailing by 50 points in a high-scoring encounter, 106-56.
The loss leaves the Blues two games and percentage outside the top four, with plenty of work ahead if they are to feature in finals action in 2026.
Orbost Snowy Rovers will host Bairnsdale at Lochiel Park this Sunday, with the under 11 match scheduled to begin at 10.30am.
