Art lovers and craft enthusiasts have one final week to experience the Australian Wood Design Exhibition at the Orbost Arts Centre before it officially concludes on Sunday, May 31.
The exhibition, which has showcased a diverse and exceptional range of fine woodcraft, will mark its final day with a special closing gathering from 2-3pm.
Organisers are warmly inviting all participating woodworkers, sponsors and supporters of the arts to attend the farewell event.
The gathering will serve as a celebration of the talent on display and a thank you to the community that made the show possible.
For those who have already purchased a piece from the exhibition, the closing event provides the opportunity to collect their newly acquired woodwork and take it home.
For others, it represents the very last chance to purchase a unique, handcrafted item before the doors close.
The Orbost Arts Centre reported that this year’s exhibition was once again met with strong support from both local residents and visitors to the town.
The centre extended it thanks to its many generous sponsors, particularly the Orbost businesses and organisations who sponsored the exhibition awards.
Special recognition was also given to the dedicated team of volunteers who staffed the front desk daily to welcome visitors, as well as the exhibitors who contributed their time and skill to the showcase.
Whether you are looking to secure a final special piece or simply want to appreciate the high-calibre craftsmanship one last time, the community is encouraged to drop in before Sunday afternoon.
