The Hoy family has been operating snow businesses in the Mt Hotham district for more than 90 years.
Hoys Skis operates six snow rental shops offering quality ski and snowboard hire equipment, along with an extensive range of accessories for day trips or week-long snow holidays.
In 2022, Hoys opened a new store on Main Street, Omeo. Catering for guests travelling to Dinner Plain and Mt Hotham from the Gippsland side of the mountain, the Hoys Omeo Ski Shop also offers snow chain hire and sales.
For added convenience, snow chains can be dropped off at either Hoys Harrietville or Hoys Omeo when travelling between the sides of the mountain.
Last season, Hoys also opened a rental shop at the new Hotham Hub Snowplay Centre at Wire Plain.
The facility includes a public day shelter, Hub Café, activity information desk and a Hoys store.
Hoys hires equipment for a range of snow activities, including toboggans, waterproof snow clothing and boots, snowshoes and cross-country (Nordic) skis. The toboggan slope also features snowmaking to help maintain consistent conditions.
