The Lindenow Farmers Home Hotel has cemented its status as one of Victoria’s premier dining pubs, taking out the prestigious Parma of the Year title at the 2026 Australian Hotels Association (AHA) Victoria State Awards for Excellence.
In a highly competitive category that drew more than 150 entries from across the state, the local landmark achieved a rare perfect score from the judges. The Farmers Home Hotel was one of only three venues statewide to reach the perfect benchmark, sharing the top tier with the Creekside Hotel in Warracknabeal and the Newborough Hotel.
Exceptional Execution of a Pub Classic According to the AHA judging panel, the perfect result was awarded in recognition of the hotel’s outstanding execution of one of Victoria’s most iconic pub meals. The evaluation highlighted the kitchen’s exceptional consistency, food quality, and presentation.
For the small township of Lindenow, the state-wide recognition places the Farmers Home Hotel firmly on the culinary map, reinforcing its reputation as a premier destination venue for travelers and food enthusiasts throughout East Gippsland and beyond.
Beyond its award-winning parma, the hotel’s extensive menu features a diverse range of pub classics, including hand-crumbed schnitzels and traditional fish and chips, alongside modern options such as gourmet burgers, pork belly, and seasoned squid.
