East Gippsland Shire has appointed an erudite consultant to mediate the divide between Marlo residents and the proponent of the stalled 104-allotment subdivision in the coastal township.
Tim Biles, of Ratio Consultants, has a plethora of experience in urban design and project facilitation.
Mr Biles has been at the forefront of planning innovation for many decades and is considered an ideal candidate to resolve the frictions that have arisen over the development at 10 Marlo Road in Marlo.
The proponent of the subdivision, Michael Grech, has seen his plans stalled for the past six years and has attracted criticism from the Marlo Ratepayers and Residents’ Association (MRRA) for what it perceives is a failure to address concerns raised by the group.
East Gippsland Shire is hopeful Mr Biles, who resides in the region, may be able to break the deadlock.
