Genoa Sports Club hosted an opening event at the new Genoa Tennis Courts recently.
The club has worked hard over the past 2.5 years to help secure funding for the project through Bushfire Recovery Victoria and is thrilled to have the facility completed by East Gippsland Shire Council.
Sixty people turned out to the opening event on the weekend to have a social hit and celebrate.
Genoa Sports Club secretary Fiona Sheean said it was wonderful to have Genoa’s only piece of sporting infrastructure usable once more.
“The courts look amazing and we had such a fun opening day,” she said.
