East Gippsland Shire Council has been working with the Victorian Government to deliver on a comprehensive list of key projects which will see much-needed upgrades of the region’s roads and transportation network.
Councillors met with Department of Transport’s (DoT) Gippsland representatives last month to discuss a number of priorities in the pipeline.
Mayor Cr Mark Reeves said it was a productive meet and greet between Councillors, DoT’s new regional director, Beth Liley, and manager development for Gippsland, Pas Monacella.
“It was great to get together in one room with DoT’s Gippsland representatives to discuss and advocate on the shire’s priorities and works in the pipeline for East Gippsland,” Cr Reeves said.
“We discussed several priorities on our advocacy agenda, and they took the time to present to us a number of key investments in transport in regional Victoria for the 2022-23 financial year.”
