There is no doubt that for local families, Christmas would not be the same without the Orbost Christmas Eve Festival, and when crowds flock to Nicholson Street this Saturday evening, they are sure to be impressed.
The Orbost Christmas Eve Festival committee, made up of six people, pulled together one of Orbost’s major events on the calendar – although, it does not come easily, with months of planning and preparation in place to put it all together.
Nicholson Street from McLeod St and Salisbury St will be closed from 5pm, with most festivities kicking off from 6pm.
“Don’t worry about cooking dinner, come on down and support a local eateries or grab something from one of the local food stalls,” Samantha Reynolds said.
“We held our final planning meeting last Sunday evening and there still are a few things to arrange but all in all it appears to be in place. The weather is also looking favourable so we would encourage everyone to come along and enjoy the night,” Garry Squires said.
