Orbost Community College threw open its doors last Wednesday, welcoming visitors to tour the newly renovated school.
It was an occasion for current students to check out their new class-rooms and facilities, and for former students and teachers to reminisce on what has changed since renovations began.
Orbost Community College principal, Peter Seal, welcomed the generous crowd and provided an update on some finishing touches to the school.
“We’re not actually finished yet, and in some ways that’s a little bit symbolic as well because we don’t think any school should ever think that they’re finished,” he said.
“There’s still some works to go and we’re not quite there yet but we’re ready to open and we’re ready to welcome kids.”
